Danny Summerhill (K-Edge-Felt) and Katerina Nash (Luna) won the men’s and women’s races, under bright lights at this year’s Derby City Cup in Louisville, Kentucky yesterday.

The nighttime race kicked-off the weekend at the Eva Bandman Park, which was the location of the 2013 UCI Cyclocross World Championships.

Summerhill won the elite men’s race by a mere seconds ahead of U.S. champion Jeremy Powers (Rapha-Focus), while Logan Owen (California Giant) third at 35 seconds back.

In the elite women’s race, Nash soloed to victory, with an 18 second advantage over her closest rival – Kaitlin Antonneau (Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com), followed by Courtenay McFadden (GE Capital-American Classic) who rounded out the podium in third.
