Look Updates 566 Road Bike

Look announced that it’s launching an updated version of their 566 road bike for 2015, which will feature improved geometry, along with changes in the frame construction itself – for improved comfort and performance.

Described as a "sportive bike’, the redesigned 566 will have a taller head tube, along with a shorter top tube, as to create a more comfortable and manageable position for riders. In addition, the new 566 will feature Look’s X Design chainstays for even greater compliance, as well as a redesigned fork, which again focusses on greater dampening and comfort.

According to Look, these changes, along with different tube profiles, has resulted in an increase in lateral stiffness in the top tube by 10%, and an even more impressive 25% in the head tube. This will no doubt add to the 566’s overall stability and responsiveness.

Additionally, the new 566 will receive internal cable routing for the rear brake via the top tube, as well as an oversized Press Fit 30 bottom bracket – for increased stiffness and better power transfer.

The updated 566 will be available as a complete bike in both a Shimano 105/FSA build, as well as an Ultegra version.

Pricing is expected to fall around $3200 and $4200 respectively.
