Moser Speed Road Bike

If you’re looking for an affordable road bike that offers some "European Cache" at a reasonable price, you should checkout the 2013 Moser Speed.

The main frame of the Speed is constructed from 7005 T6 aluminum, that features uniquely shaped, triangular top and down tubes, along with carbon fork. The fork has carbon fiber blades and an alloy steerer, while the headset is a simple straight 1 1/8in spec design.

Equipped with Shimano’s Sora group set, the Speed can be had for around $1000. Not a bad admission fee for a bike that has some Italian "panach" going for it, along with the following build kit:

Frame and Fork
The Moser Speed is built on a 7005 T6 Alloy frame which is heat treated for enhanced strength and stiffness. It provides a light, responsive ride with reactive handling and plenty of feedback from the road. The frame features external cable routing throughout, twin bottle cage bosses and a replaceable forged aluminium derailleur hanger to preserve the frame in the event of damage. The fork features carbon fibre legs and an alloy steerer for reduced weight and agile steering characteristics.

Shimano Sora Groupset
The Speed comes equipped with Shimano Sora groupset components including brake levers/gear shifters, front and rear derailleurs and brake callipers. Sora offers smooth, serviceable shifting across 18 gears, dependable braking performance and neat, unobtrusive cable routing beneath the bar tape. The chainset is provided by FSA components and features 50 and 34 tooth chain rings for a great balance of top speed and climbing ability.

Fulcrum Racing 7 Wheelset
The specification includes Fulcrum Racing 7 wheels, offering fast acceleration, agile cornering and smooth rolling characteristics. Racing 7s feature a clincher tyre profile, rim wear indicators and a 2:1 spoke pattern on the rear wheel for improved stability and power transfer. Quick release axles are provided for quick and easy maintenance and transport.
