Russian WorldTour Team Katusha announces the collaboration with the Spanish company Caviar de Riofrio, which produces ecologically pure sturgeon caviar. The company will provide to Team Katusha the black caviar for rider’s nutrition, adding the valuable supplements of proteins, iodine, minerals, microelements and Omega-3 fatty acids to their traditional diet.
The general manager of Team Katusha Viacheslav Ekimov welcomes the start of this new collaboration:
– For us the collaboration with the Caviar de Riofrio Company first of all is an opportunity to significantly improve our rider’s diets during the racing periods, especially during their participation in the Grand Tours. We all know about the nutritional value of a product like caviar, especially when we speak about such a high quality product as Caviar de Riofrio. Our riders have already had the opportunity to try the caviar in the training camp which recently ended in Calpe, and I want to say that all of the guys, without exception, were happy with the news about a permanent collaboration with the Caviar de Riofrio. The collaboration with a company like Caviar de Riofrio is a kind of debut for the world of cycling and I am happy that Team Katusha has the honor to be a pioneer in this, – said Viacheslav Ekimov.
The management of the company is optimistic about the new cooperation with the Russian team too:
– The sturgeon caviar has always been associated with Russian cuisine and Russian culture. Therefore we are delighted by the fact that Caviar de Riofrio has the opportunity to start this collaboration with the first Russian WorldTour Team Katusha, which is the face of Russian cycling in Europe and the world. The products manufactured by our company are distinguished by high quality and ecological purity, which is the hallmark of Caviar de Riofrio. We hope that our caviars are not only likely to appeal to riders of Team Katusha, but will become an integral part of their diet, and will help to achieve greater results at the highest international level, – said Sergei Kapanen, general director of Caviar de Riofrio.
