Launching from the premise, “FOR TRIATHLETES WHOSE WILL TO WIN KNOWS NO BOUNDS”, Argon 18 unveiled its latest flagship Time Trial/Triathlon bike, called the E-119 Tri+.

Wowza! At first glance, this wind-defying machine, is just about the most sophisticated and extreme executions we’ve ever seen – for a bike of this kind.

According to Argon18, after pushing the boundaries of performance, aerodynamics and technology, the new E-119 Tri+ is capable of yielding the absolute maximum in performance and aerodynamic advantage.

“We created this new line of triathlon/time trial bikes with the entire cycling equation in mind: the cyclist and his or her bike during the race,” explains Martin Faubert, Argon 18’s Director of R&D. “These bikes have been first and foremost designed to renew and enrich the racer’s experience by supplying him with simple and clever solutions for hydration and nutrition, while transcending expectations in terms of performance, comfort, and aerodynamics.”

The new E119 Tri+ is punctuated with an all new covered, integrated braking system along the frame’s fork and seat stays.

The carbon composition of the frame itself, utilizes nano-tech infused high modulus carbon fiber, combined with extreme tube shapes and profiles to give it the greatest of wind-cheating capabilities, less weight, while also reducing its susceptibility to crosswinds.

In addition, Argon18 incorporated its OneNess 3.0 system, which boldly sandwiches the handlebar between the top half of the stem and the fork, to create the effect of an integrated fuselage. Moreover, the stem can be inverted to change the height +/- 10mm.

Lastly, the triathlon segment will be please to see, the addition of storage boxes on the top tube and behind the saddle, with the ability to cary two water bottles in the rear, while the bar extensions house an aero shaped water bottle – complete  with a drinking straw – up front.

There are no specifics with regard to pricing and availability as of yet, but based on the images, the 119 Tri+ appears to be equipped with Shimano Dura Ace.
