Another interesting product that emerged during this week’s annual Eurobike Show in Germany, is CeramicSpeed’s UFO Drip chain lube, which the Danish company is claiming is the “world’s fastest”.
According to CeramicSpeed, the UFO Drip is more like a wax, not a lube, which is formulated to create a solid, protective coating on the chain that won’t pick up debris like most lubes that ultimately leads to increased friction.
For instance, CeramicSpeeds claims, the UFO Drip has a friction level of 3.78w, whereas most competitors have 4.51w. Moreover, the company says friction levels will actually drop after 90 minutes of riding, while the reverse typically occurs with the competition.
In addition, unlike traditional lubes that require frequent cleaning and reapplication, UFO Drip can last for more than 100 miles before cleaning.
UFO Drip sells for $75.00, and on average can provide up to 18 applications.
