The lines between on-road and off-road riding have never been so blurred as they are today.
With the advent of the gravel grinder segment, combined with the growing enthusiasm for cyclocross here in the USA, the engineers at Easton have seen fit to capitalize on the movement with its all-inclusive EC90SL carbon crank.
Utilizing Easton’s Cinch System, the new EC90SL crank allows users to quickly change between various chainring sizes, and even convert between either a single or double ring configuration.
Indeed, the Cinch system makes switching chainrings a quick and easy process requiring users to simply undo the crank bolt and Cinch lock ring.
In addition, the EC90SL features Easton’s newly developed Narrow/Wide tooth profile to optimize chain retention and reduce running noise and friction, thus resulting in improved drivetrain efficiency.
Furthermore, Easton has created a new bottom bracket for the EC90SL crank as well, which has a newly developed seal that results in less drag and improved protection from the elements.
So, whether you’re a weekend warrior who likes his or her riding on the diverse side, or an aspiring racer who has to do without a mechanic in the beginning, the new EC90SL crankset makes for a viable option that’s capable of tackling just about any riding application.
