Johan Museeuw Shows How to Tackle a Cobbled Climb

museeuw-2000-8_72dpi_1

Maintaining traction is of the utmost importance when tackling a cobbled climb, especially when it’s wet.

Keeping even pressure over the back wheel and not fighting with the bike will help you deliver power without the rear wheel slipping. Unless you can climb smoothly out of the saddle, it’s probably best to remain seated to keep ‘choppiness’ to a minimum.

Who better than the Lion of Flanders himself, John Museeuw, to show us how.
