“LA Sweat” Women’s Cycling Team

LA Sweat was formed by the need to infuse a little more estrogen into the male-dominated, testosterone-soaked sport of cycling without sacrificing speed and style.

Meet the LA Sweat. The newest team to enter the USA Cycling Domestic Elite Women’s Racing ranks. In 2015 LA Sweat will challenge the status quo and showcase the dominating presence and ever growing force of female racing. Their manifest is to infuse the female peloton with positivity, a ton of fun, all while empowering women to discover the joy of riding, the freedom of pedaling and the desire to get physical, competitive and sweat.

The team is comprised of track racer and U.S. National Team Sprint Champion Shelby Walter (Los Angeles, CA), workhorse and powerhouse Libby Caldwell (Santa Cruz, CA formerly Vanderkitten Devo), GC contender and crafter extraordinaire Ivy Audrain (Seattle, WA), Priscilla “PC” Calderon (Costa Mesa, CA, formerly Monster Media), crit racer Becca Schepps (Boulder, CO, formerly Team Type 1 & Stan’s NoTUBES-EWX), and the ever aggressive and young rider contender Amalie Winther Olsen (Denmark – danish national team). The team will be run by manager/rider Kelli Samuelson, and will be based out of Los Angeles, California.
