It was just a matter of time before the Uber Lords of carbon fiber would jump on the bandwagon of the roadbike, disc brake revolution, with a high-end offering of their own. And, indeed they have with their newly announced Meilenstein C disc wheelset.
The new Meilenstein C’s feature Lightweight’s unmistakeable full-carbon design, complete with DT Swiss 11 speed hubs, which are available with either traditional quick release skewers, or with thru axles that utilize the Swiss brand’s end caps, along with Centreblock hubs that can be configured into a 6-bolt set-up via the supplied adapters.
According to Lightweight, the Meilenstein C’s tip the scales at a svelte 1390g, which is pretty remarkable for a clincher with a 47mm+ profile.
Additionally, the wheels will be available in both Lightweight’s White and Black edition finishes, along with upgraded bearings from Ceramic Speed.
Price you ask? Expect to pay plenty of deutschmarks.
