Maserati dazzled on-lookers at last week’s Eurobike Show with its futuristic MC Race electric road bike.
Developed alongside the German design firm, Diavelo, it’s clear that Maserati had integration in mind when they created the MC Race, which features an almost seamlessly enclosed Fazua Evation electric motor and battery.
According to Maserati however, both the motor and battery can be removed, allowing the rider to propel the MC Race under their own pedal-power thanks to the SRAM Force 1X drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes.
“The new Maserati e-bike line from the famous Italian car maker is completely made for the e-sport category. The frames are designed with a lot of Maserati sport DNA. All motor set-ups are nicely integrated into the frame. The weight distribution is perfect with the battery and motor placed just above the bottom bracket. This e-bike belongs to a newly created category of sporty electric bikes“, says Diavelo.
