Noël Foré

Happy birthday to Noël Foré, who was born on December 23, 1932, and died on February 16, 1994.

The Belgian rider is best remembered for winning 1959 Paris-Roubaix Classic in front of fellow Belgians Gilbert Desmet and Marcel Janssens. He also won the Tour of Flanders Classic in 1963, and the Ghent-Wevelgem Classic in 1958.

In addition, Foré finished 3rd in the 1959 World Championship Road Race behind Andre Darrigade of France and Michele Gismondi of Italy. He also won the 1958 Tour of Belgium and the 1963 Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne.

Foré died at the relatively young age of 61 in Ghent. Not much is known about the cause.

Gelukkige verjaardag Noël!
