Rapha’s Climate Controlled “Vault”: Where Customers Can Compare Apparel

Tucked beneath the Rapha Cycle Club, in London’s Old Spitalfields Market, is the Vault, where customers can compare apparel according to temperature and fit, using Rapha’s climate-controlled chamber.

According to Rapha, used in conjunction with a stationary bike, the Vault can simulate riding conditions, by virtue of its ability to control temperature between 0 and 30 degrees, as well as wind speed, which can be dialed up to 30 mph (50kph).

Needless to say, Rapha’s objective with the Vault, is to provide customers with some idea of how their range of apparel works under various temperature/weather conditions – and help them make the right choice.

Use of the Vault is free, but customers have to book a time in advance, with appointments lasting up to one hour.

Unfortunately, for us yanks, Rapha has no plans to create a Vault on these shores – anytime soon.  😥
