ROTWILD Puts the “Green” in Mercedes’ AMG

The German brand ROTWILD, continues the trend of bespoke bike brands turning out small batches of ultra-exclusive road bikes in partnership with marque automobile brands, with the unveiling of its latest R.S2 Beast of the Green Hell.

Indeed, ROTWILD’s limited edition R.S2 Beast of the Green Hell represents the company’s third collaboration with Mercedes’ renown race division, AMG.

To wit, “the R.S2 combines the best technology from the four wheeled and two wheeled racing worlds: Momentum, lightweight construction, design and comfort.”

The R.S2 comprises a lightweight handcrafted carbon frame made from what ROTWILD refers to as “high tenacity and high modulus carbon fiber with high levels of stiffness radiates fun and motivates new best times.”

The R.S2 features a pretty diverse blend of components consisting of Shimano’s flagship Dura-Ace groupset, hydraulic disc brakes, Crankbrothers’ Cobalt 11 carbon wheelset and cockpit bits and pieces culled from Pro and ERGON, to include Pro’s Stealth Evo combination stem and aerobar.

Want one?

You better get your order in now and have plenty of deutsche marks set aside, as the R.S2 Beast of Green Hell is limited to a run of just 50,  and it carries a hefty price tag of €7,109 (approximately $8000).
