Tacx Adds ANT+ ANT+ FE-C Protocols to Its Smart Trainers

Tacx has upgraded its range of Smart Trainers to include ANT+ and ANT+ FE-C protocols – making them compatible with not only their own interactive training platforms, but second party software providers such as Zwift, TrainerRoad, Kinomap and Bkool software as well.

Users can launch ANT+ and ANT+ FE-C protocols, and now control every aspect of their rider, such as speed, cadence and power, and with additional software – adjust the resistance, from their smartphone, tablet or computer – wirelessly.

This means, no more dedicated headunit, wires, cables or other devices necessary to map metrics or interface with interactive training software.

ANT+ and Bluetooth® now leads the way !

And, for Tacx owners who currently have one the brands’ Smart trainers, the upgrade is free.

To upgrade, Tacx users can simply download the free Utility app available in the App store, which in turn will upgrade the firmware of one’s Smart trainer by ‘teaching’ it the ANT+ FE-C language.
