Rohan Dennis (BMC) claimed his second consecutive stage victory today, after winning the Individual Time Trial, clocking the fastest time of 18:11 along the 13.5 kilometer course in Breckenridge – beating his closest rival Rob Britton (Team SmartStop) by 27 seconds, followed by his teammate Brent Bookwalter, at just over half a minute behind.
The BMC rider caught and passed yesterday’s stand-out, Robbie Squire (Hincapie Racing), on the final climb to extend his overall lead in the general classification – with two stages remaining.
Dennis now leads Bookwalter in the general classification by 44 seconds, with Britton moving into third, at 1:31 back.
