We’ve seen in recent years a trend of wider tires on road bikes – the improved contact patch and ability to run lower air pressure can reduce the risk of punctures, improve grip and improve comfort.
But are they faster?
Here, a set of wide 25mm tires were tested to see if there’s any improvement in speed.
