The New Zealand developer, BikeAid, is a new app that helps cyclists find bike stores – globally.
The app acts as a locator that contains information for literally thousands of bike stores across the world.
According to BikeAid, it helps cyclists find the closest stores based on their current location, complete with directions.
The app already has store listings from Australia, New Zealand, the U.S., Canada, U.K. and South Africa, with more stores and locations being added weekly.
Bike stores can upgrade their store listing to a premium listing, giving users more information about their store (group ride details, brands carried etc.) and the ability to tell users about any store specials or deals available exclusively via the BikeAid app.
The app also has a “News & Info” section with a list of the most popular bike-related websites from around the world. Users can also submit details for a bike store from this section of the app.

What you can do with the BikeAid app.
The BikeAid app uses your smartphone’s location to automatically find the bike stores closest to you – offering address, distance and contact details (including phone number and website links) so that you can preview the store before you visit.
Once you’ve chosen a store, you can be directed straight to it.
You can also use the manual search function to locate your favorite store by name, suburb or city and create your own list of favourite stores within the app.
Look out for Premium listed bike stores within the app that have store specials listed in their store info section. You never know what could be waiting for you!
