Kirsten Wild won stage 4 of the 2014 Ladies Tour of Qatar – marking both her third stage win and the overall victory in this year’s race – as she beat Giorgia Bronzini and Melissa Hoskins in a sprint finish in Doha Corniche today.
Today’s stage saw team Giant fend-off a number of attacks from Specialized-lululemon in the final 10 kilometers – with Chantal Blaak, Tiffany Cromwell and Elise Delzenne at one point all going clear.
However, Wild managed to keep herself in contention. And, in the final lap, the Dutch rider once again proved to be unstoppable as she powered her way to victory – despite the best efforts of the lead group.
Amy Pieters finished second overall at 22 seconds back, with Hoskins claiming third at 36 seconds back.
