BMC Unveils Three New Road bike Models

BMC revamps three of it’s road bike models for 2015

This year’s new entry level "racer" for the Swiss brand will be the carbon fiber Teammachine SLR03.

The SLR03 will be offered in three "builds", which are predicated on the same 1230g frame.

At the top, is a Shimano 105 equipped version followed by Tiagra and Sora equipped models. And, it will be available in five sizes.

Next, is BMC’s GranFondo GF series, which many will revel in the fact, that for 2015 – gets the carbon fiber treatment. However, in order to have disc brakes, customers with have to ante up for the more expensive GF01.

Still, considering that the GranFondo range was initially offered in aluminum only, "comfort" and  "gravel" bike seekers will rejoice now that they can get their hands on a full carbon bike – with models starting out with reasonably priced Tiagra "builds", all the way up to full Ultegra.

Lastly, after a hiatus from the cyclocross scene, enthusiasts will be pleased to know, that BMC is back to the "mud and barriers" for 2015, with it’s new Crossmachine CX01, which incorporates much of the brand’s frame technology from it’s GranFondo range.

The CX01 uses BMC’s oversized lower half and svelte seat stays, along with cyclocross geometry, to create a bike destine for the harshest of cyclocross duties.

The CX01 is available in disc brake only, and despite being fitted with 140mm rotors, the fork is designed to accommodate up to 160mm. In addition, the CX01 will be offered in the new SRAM Force CX1 Hydro 1×11 drivetrain.

Also, expect to see BMC offer a variety of wheelset combinations, as well as various and sundry cockpit "bit and pieces" at the time of launch.
