Geraint Thomas won stage 4, the individual time trial, in this year’s Bayern Rundfahrt, to take-over the overall race lead.
The Team Sky rider posted the fastest time of 30:48 second, 4 seconds ahead of Jan Barta (NetApp Endura), and 5 seconds faster than Anton Vorobyev (Team Katusha).
Thomas now leads the race with 19 seconds over Mathias Frank (IAM Cycling) and 35 seconds ahead of his teammate Vasil Kiryienka.
