The renown British sports car brand, Caterham, announced its unveiling a new carbon road bike during next week’s EuroBike show.
Given the name Duo Cali (an acronym for Caterham Advanced Lightweight Innovations), the new model is a result of Caterham’s collaboration with the exclusive German brand – AX Lightness.
The new frame is said to feature a monocoque design, with an aerodynamic-shaped geometry – giving it “ the perfect blend of speed, comfort, kinetic design and safety”, along with “top-level weight and stiffness values”.
The Duo Cali will incorporate F1-grade carbon in a unique design, that’s similar to the fascinating Factor Vis Veres road bike. Indeed, a top tube that sweeps past the seat tube and bottom bracket area, along with a propriety stem that has a built in computer mount and integrated seat post – punctuate the new Duo Cali.
According to Caterham, the number framesets available will limited to just 73, along with a range of both electronic and mechanical Campagnolo groupsets.
On a side note, the Duo Cali is not the first carbon frameset to emerge in partnership with AX Lightness. This year, the German carbon fiber gurus, also collaborated with Swift Carbon and Vandeyk Cycles to create two equally exclusive models as well. We dig !
