Sanne Cant (Enertherm-BKCP) extended her tally of victories this season, after winning the Bpost Bank Trofee’s Flandriencross Hamme today.
The Belgian champion emerged victorius for the second day in a row, after crossing the finish ahead of Ellen Van Loy (VZW Young Telenet Fidea Cycling Team) and Helen Wyman (Kona).
“Winning is never easy,” Cant told the event’s organizers after the race. “Not even here, on this fast course there was little recovery possibilities.”
Van Loy was equally pleased with her results today as well – marking her 11th podium victory of the season.
"Not that I count them but I’ve only seen it happen on our website. This is another confirmation of my consistency. I was strong today but Sanne is currently just outstanding."
Meanwhile, Sophie de Boer (Parkhotel Valkenburg Continental Team), who finished in 5th today, leads the Bpost Bank Trofee series, while Van Loy moved up into second place.
Cant is now in 5th.
