Despite snow and cold temperatures, Jeremy Powers (Aspire) and Katerina Nash (Luna Pro Team) emerged as the winners in the men’s and women’s races on day 2 of this year’s Jingle Cross race in Iowa City yesterday.
Powers showed his typical smooth and controlled style – bunny hoping barriers and gaining time over his rivals on the Mt. Krimpet climb – to go on and claim a solo victory.
Meanwhile, early race leader Stephen Hyde finished second,with Logan Owen rounding out the podium in third.

In the women’s race, Nash scored back-to-back wins, after dominating the field on the Mt. Krimpet climb and sand section – to create a substantial lead on her rivals – that would hold until the end.
Caroline Mani finished second, with Courtenay McFadden taking another spot on the podium in third.
