Happy birthday to Oscar Vargas who was born on March 23, 1964.
The Colombian rider is best remembered for placing 3rd in the 1989 Vuelta a Espana behind Pedro Delgado of Spain and Fabio Parra of Colombia. Vargas also won the Mountains Jersey in that year’s Vuelta as well.
In addition, Vargas finished 3rd in the 1991 Vuelta a Colombia, and won the 1995 Vuelta a Antioquia.
