"We’re very excited about it. Some of the great riders, not only just in the U.S. but from Europe, probably will be racing here in Colorado next August," said race CEO, Shawn Hunter.
"It would be the same week, much of the same roads. And we’re working on those details now. It’s a big undertaking and we want to do it right."
The professional men’s race is scheduled to take place from August 17-23 of next summer, and Hunter expects the women’s race to be held along many of the same roads.

The USA Pro Challenge’s decision to create a women’s race comes on the heels of the Tour of California’s recent announcement, to expand it’s women’s race next year, to a full four days – which will include a three-day stage race, along with an individual time trial.
