Aimed at the urban cyclist who’s brave enough to face the challenges of cold weather commuting, Adidas has launched its latest Velosamba Cold.Rdy cycling shoe, which as its name implies, features an insulated upper that’s culled from recycled materials.
“Keep up your bike commute when the weather turns cold. This insulated Velosamba cycling shoe extends your comfort zone in cold weather without compromising on iconic Samba style. It’s designed with winter city riding and commuting in mind, and adidas COLD.RDY seals in warmth. It’s two-bolt cleat compatible, with a full-length reinforced midsole for efficient pedaling that still flexes for comfortable walking. A reflective logo and 3-Stripes details increase low-light visibility. Made with a series of recycled materials, this upper features at least 50% recycled content. This product represents just one of our solutions to help end plastic waste,” boasts Adidas.

Elsewhere, the sole features a nylon and fiber glass reinforced plate in the midsole that’s designed to bolster rigidity, while a two-bolt cleat set-up makes for the perfect companion with Shimano SPD pedals.
The Velosamba Cold.Rdy is available in black only, which can be purchased through Adidas’ website for $170.
