Alé has partnered with eVent Fabrics on its latest Fan and Traccia jackets, which feature an innovative laminate called stormburstLT, a breathable, waterproof, weatherproof and windproof fabric that the Italian brand says offers “super-light, fast and highly breathable” garments.
eVent introduced the PFAS-free stormburstLT laminate in early 2025, and its collaboration with Alé represents the first time the high-performance laminate has been used in the development of cycling apparel.
“Purpose-made for fast and light adventures, eVent’s stormburstLT is incredibly lightweight, highly breathable, has stretch, and repels light rain and snow. Designed with high-output activities and adventure travel in mind, the PFAS-free laminate technology allows heat and moisture to escape, ensuring comfortable protection, especially when conditions suddenly change,” boasts Alé.
Utilizing Alé’s Body Mapping system the Fan jacket offers warmth, breathability and water repellence, with a temperature range of -3 to 6℃ that’s designed to protect cyclists from the elements. Also, the jacket features eVent’s 3-layer laminate fabric that’s combined with a highly breathable and quick-drying fleece liner with a three-dimensional hexagonal structure, while a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment across the entire surface provides protection against light rain.
The Traccia is a slimmed-down version of the Fan jacket, made for warmer weather and more intense rides, relying on lighter-weight fabrics and specialized body mapping to create a high-performance top that better dissipates excess heat, making it ideal for fall and spring riding when temperatures are between 0 and 12℃.
Elsewhere, the jackets are treated to a range of other technical features such as raw-cut cuffs that seal in warmth and fit comfortably under gloves, a rear hem that’s designed for better grip and to keep the jacket in place and reflective details for increased visibility.
The Fan jacket sells for €215, while the Traccia fetches €195.
