Bianchi has electrified its popular Oltre road bike, treating it to Mahle’s new X30 45Nm rear-hub electric motor and stealthily hidden 250W iX2 battery, with the top-spec Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 equipped model tipping the scales at a mere 11kg (24.2 pounds).
Aptly dubbed the e-Oltre, the bike’s 90km (56 miles) range can be extended by 55km (34 miles) courtesy of an additional range extender, while Mahle’s fast-charging technology claims the battery can reach 75% capacity in less than two hours. Plus, there are three levels of electric assistance to choose from, which can be selected via an integrated top tube controller or remote shifters on the handlebar
Bianchi offers the e-Oltre in three different guises, all of which feature the same carbon frameset and Velomann Plutonium 50mm carbon wheels, albeit with slightly different cockpits and groupsets.
