BMC is flaunting its latest ICS2 Aero MPC. cockpit, a one-piece sculpted design that boasts both aerodynamic efficiency and optimal ergonomics courtesy of the Swiss brand’s AeroSynthesys technology.

Continuing to design and develop our line of Masterpiece products, we are now completing the Teammachine R Mpc. frameset with an aero optimized cockpit. Designed with a “by racers, for racers” approach, it delivers a no-compromise blend of stiffness, weight, and user-focused functionality. Engineered with AeroSynthesys philosophy, this cockpit acts as the leading edge of your system – cutting airflow before it reaches the rider for real aero gains,” says BMC.
However, all of this tech does come with a slight penalty of 80 grams over traditional designs. But, BMC is quick to point out, that the ICS2 AERO Mpc. delivers twice the stiffness thanks to an optimized layup of carbon composite and the company’s new steerer clamping system that improves surface contact to the steerer tube for maximum control and power transfer.
Elsewhere, the ICS2 Aero Mpc. features a compact width of 370mm (hoods) and 420mm (drops), along with 12° of flare that ensures precise ergonomics and positioning. In addition, the drops are designed inline with today’s offset brake levers, while the progressive drop shape ensures confident handling and smooth hand transitions from the different grip positions on the bar.
Additionally, there are multiple stem lengths available, ranging from 90 to 120mm in 10mm increments, along with external cable routing that’s streamlined and simple, with clean under-bar covers. Moreover, the cockpit is delivered with a computer mount compatible with Garmin and Wahoo devices, plus a GoPro mount interface that will let owners bolt additional accessories of their choice such as a light, camera, etc..
While the ICS2 Aero Mpc. is sure to attract enthusiasts and pros alike, it comes with a hefty price tag $1,250.00.
