BMC unveiled a special edition version of their SLR01Teammachine at Interbike this week, which features subdued graphics and a raw carbon finish.
According to BMC, this “through a glass darkly” version of its Teammachine, wasn’t simply a case of removing the decals, but rather a labor intensive process was undertaken in order to create this effect.
“This technique demands a very high level of execution so it is being carried out manually. The result is stunning, and quite minimalistic. We are stripping away the frills and showing you the beauty of a raw frame. But, because of the labour involved, we can only apply this finish to an extremely small quantity – making it all the more special.” says Stefan Christ, Head of Product at BMC Switzerland.Go super stealth with this very special Teammachine SLR01.
