To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Brompton has launched a special edition version of its C-Line folding bike fittingly called the Brompton 1975, with only 1,195 bikes available world-wide.
“London, 1975. Andrew Ritchie, a brilliant young inventor, put pen to paper and sketched our original folding bike, calling it the “bike of the future.” It was a radical departure from bicycles of the day – the first in a line of iconic designs which, today, represent the gold standard in folding bicycles. The 1975 Edition is a tribute to 50 years of innovation, excellence, and the people who make it possible. Each detail tells a chapter of our story,” says Brompton.
The Brompton 1975 is treated to a unique Thermal Fade finish, along with a “Brazer’s Coin” that features the embossed initials of the craftsman who built each bike.
Other styling queues include gold embellishments through the frame and components, as well as a special-edition Brompton saddle, zip case and bottle holder.
The Brompton 1975 sells for $2,700, which can be purchased directly from the British brand.
