Campagnolo is waving hello to enthusiasts with its latest Shamal wheelset, which features a new wavy profile that bears a striking resemble to its sister brand’s Fulcrum Sharq.
However, compared to the previous generation Shamal, the new hoops feature a 2-Way Fit tubeless-ready hooked bead with a 23mm internal width for a wider range of tire choices, along with a varying rim depth of 40mm to 45mm, while simultaneously shedding a claimed 105 grams.
Elsewhere, the new Shamal features Campagnolo’s distinct G3 spoke pattern with each wheel laced in a 2:1 pattern. Moreover, the Shamal has also been treated to a better aerodynamic signature thanks to extensive CFD profiling and wind tunnel testing, making the wheels less susceptible to crosswinds, while tipping the scales at an impressive 1480 grams.
The new Shamal sells for $2085, which comes standard with an N3W freehub, along with tubeless valves, tire levers, an accessory bag and a more durable duty gasket for extra sealing during gravel and bikepacking duties.
