Colnago Celebrates 70 Years with Steelnovo Road Bike

Colnago is celebrating its 70th Anniversary with the launch of its Steelnovo road bike, treating traditionalists to a “masterpiece” as only the vaunted Italian brand knows how.

“In a market dominated by carbon, Steelnovo is a return to the essence: meticulously crafted steel, hidden welds and 3D-printed components. This edition is for those seeking not just a bicycle but a piece of Colnago’s history to take on the road, where past and future converge with every pedal stroke,” boasts Colnago.

Limited to just 70 pieces, the Steelnovo features seamlessly integrated tube shapes courtesy of 3D-printed lugs at the junctions of the head tube, seat tube, top tube and seat stay lugs, as well as the rear dropouts. In addition, Colnago placed a strong emphasis on customization and the integration of all components as well, including fully integrated cable routing, custom nylon headset components and a seat post clamp system that’s integrated with the seat stays.

Additionally, the Steelnovo has been embellished with unique touches throughout such as a 3D-printed Colnago head badge, a custom steering tube cap and personalized thru-axles and handlebar caps. What’s more, there’s Campagnolo Italian-themed customization on the components as well.

To make it even more of an Italian affair, the Steelnovo is adorned with a Campagnolo Super Record Wireless groupset and Bora Ultra WTO 45 wheelset.

Not surprisingly, all of this comes at a price, as the Steelnovo fetches a staggering €17,500.
