Colnago Lifts the Curtains on New C68 Gravel Bike

Colnago has lifted the curtains on a gravel variant of its flagship C68 road bike aptly called the C68 Gravel, offering enthusiasts all of the attributes of its road-going sibling but with greater tire clearance (up to 42mm), revised tube shapes, a revamped seatpost design that now includes a rubber cover and geometry that has been tweaked accordingly, putting riders in a more relaxed position when the tarmac runs out.

“We are thrilled to unveil the C68 Gravel, a masterpiece that embodies the perfect fusion of contemporary engineering and timeless Italian craftsmanship. Whether your journey unfolds the White Roads of Tuscany rather than the wildest gravel roads, this gravel machine is your steadfast companion. It’s more than a mere bicycle; it’s a true, powerful work of art, seamlessly continuing the legacy of excellence, beauty and performance embodied by our esteemed C Series bicycles. The C68 Gravel represents a harmonious blend of modern engineering and timeless craftsmanship. The result is a frame that comes with the aesthetics of a contemporary monocoque while delivering the advantages of a lugged construction. The result of this technique of construction is greater flexibility, setting it apart from all others in the realm of high-end bicycles, which leads to an overall more comfortable riding experience,” boasts Colnago.

Elsewhere, the C68 Gravel comes with an all-new Colnago CC.01 Wide one-piece, integrated cockpit, which features more flare than the previous Colnago CC.01, along with a 72.5mm reach and 120mm drop. However, it’s only offered in one width that measures 40cm (46cm on the drops), but there are five stem lengths to choose from ranging from 80mm to 120mm.

Made completely in Italy, the new C68 Gravel is available in three builds or as a frameset only for £5,269. All of the builds come in 1x configurations, along with the new CC.01 Wide handlebar and Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H gravel tires, while color choices have been limited to green and black.

For those who prefer a 2x set-up, Colnago says the bike can accommodate it, as long the groupset is electronic.
