Colnago has treated its V5Rs to two new exclusive colorways called STNT and STBU, a reinterpretation of the Italian brand’s rich chromatic heritage, albeit using modern techniques.
The work is carried out by the same artisans who, in the ’90s and 2000s, introduced the legendary Art Decor graphics—craftsmanship that today evolves in a contemporary direction.
The formula uses a pearl pigment matching the base color, with a specific shape designed to enhance brightness and depth. When the colors merge, the result is intensely vibrant, with a three-dimensional effect that shifts with the light, yielding a slightly different and truly unique scheme for each frame.
The STBU colourway, on the other hand, is a marbled, color-shifting finish. Depending on how the light hits the finish, the pattern transitions from blue to violet, creating a dynamic and sophisticated effect.
Both colorways are displayed on display at this week’s Rouleur live under the headline “Colnago is Color”.
