DJI has launched its latest action camera called the Osmo Action 4, offering superior image quality, unparalleled flexibility and improved low-light performance over its predecessor.

Osmo Action 4 features a powerful 1/1.3-inch image sensor, f/2.8 aperture and 2.4μm equivalent pixel size that can shoot 4K/120fps video, along with 155° ultra-wide-angle FOV capabilities. Moreover, even in low-light environments, users can shoot clear images in detail thanks to its 360° HorizonSteady image stabilization that includes functions such as RockSteady 3.0/3.0+, which are perfect for POV shooting and HorizonBalancing and HorizonSteady. Also, its 10-bit D-Log M color mode can record up to one billion colors, while its dynamic wide-range feature offers greater flexibility in the post-production process.
Tough battery performance that can withstand harsh shooting
Osmo Action 4’s battery is designed to allow users to shoot as many action scenes as they want, providing more than 2.5 hours of shooting, while its fast charging function can bring the battery up to 80% in just 18 minutes. The battery is also cold-resistant, allowing up to 150 minutes of shooting even at temperatures as low as -20°C.
Easy shooting with various functions
Osmo Action 4 is packed with intuitive features that enable a wide range of shooting experiences such as a magnetic quick release that’s designed to allow users the option of easily switching shooting methods. The camera is also equipped with a water-repellent touch screen on both sides, as well as waterproof capabilities up to 18 meters without a waterproof case.
Superior recording capabilities for seamless video delivery
Osmo Action 4 supports multiple recording options, allowing users to use different recording methods for different environments, while its built-in microphone, or the ability to connect to external devices, ensures clear audio. It also features three microphones and advanced wind noise reduction software for clear, immersive audio in windy environments and fast-moving shooting scenarios. In addition, thanks to its Wi-Fi Live Streaming feature, users can easily and seamlessly live stream using Wi-Fi or a smartphone hotspot. For long-time streaming, users can use an external power supply to constantly charge the action camera, so the streaming will never be interrupted.

The LightCut app connects seamlessly to the Osmo Action 4 via Wi-Fi, allowing users to quickly preview and auto-edit their shots without having to transfer footage from their camera, while the app displays live camera footage and offers a wide variety of templates and editing tools for the app. The LightCut app also recognizes themes in the user’s videos, recommending ideal shooting sequences while automatically editing content with just a touch to create high-quality 4K/60fps videos. This function can also automatically select app-specific templates for various shooting scenarios such as biking, diving, surfing, skiing/snowboarding, camping, Vlogging and traveling.
