Factor has re-entered the triathlon segment with the launch of its new SLICK, leveraging its bike design know-how to fill the gap for high-volume triathletes who are looking to maximize aero-gains alongside clever utilitarian features.
“Reintroducing Factor back to triathlon racing, the SLiCK is a ground-up design that combines everything we’ve learned from previous development cycles with our deep understanding of what triathletes need to win races. The key to the design is the effort our engineers have invested in making this a practical bike that works specifically for triathletes while also maximizing the knowledge we’ve gained from our superbikes like the OSTRO VAM and HANZŌ Track,” boasts Factor.
Elsewhere, intelligent, integrated storage spaces ensure triathletes can carry much of what they need throughout the race thanks to bosses on the top tube for Factor’s specially designed bento box and hydration reservoir, providing easy access to nutrition, while the in-frame storage space under the down tube water bottle cage allows essentials like inner tubes, tire levers and small tools for emergencies to be stowed.
Additionally, the SLICK features a standard steerer tube that allows the bike to be assembled and disassembled for easy travel.
The SLiCK is available in two build configurations, the base SLiCK and the SLiCK Premium.
The base SLiCK is equipped with a SRAM Force groupset, Black Inc FIFTY EIGHT wheels and Vision’s 3-piece TriMax Carbon Aerobar for $7,200, while SLiCK Premium can be fitted with either Force /w power meter, or SRAM’s top-of-the-line RED AXS groupset /w power meter, all-new Black Inc SIXTY TWO wheels and Vision’s Metron TFA Aerobar for $9,200 and $10,400, respectively.
