FFWD Spins Up Revamped RYOT Carbon Wheelsets

FFWD has spun up a revamped version of its RYOT range of carbon wheelsets, featuring a redesigned rim profile and hub system, as well as shedding at claimed 100 grams across all variants.

The RYOT’s hooked rim construction now sees a 23mm wide internal profile, a 2mm increase over its predecessor, creating a sweet spot for tires ranging between 28mm and 32mmm, while things spin on FFWD’s own N/GAGE hubs that have been treated to an all-new shell that’s 50 grams lighter, along with the same 36t on a ratchet-based system, yielding 10-degrees of engagement.

Yet, customers can still opt for upgraded DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs for an additional $300.00.

“While chasing weight gains, we never compromise on durability. That’s why you won’t find minuscule bearings or aluminum nipples but we use brass nipples instead. We guarantee that your wheels will last a long time. Staying true to our philosophy on hooked rims for road wheels, the RYOT now has a 23mm internal rim width. Perfect to fit wider tires and to choose whatever type or brand of tire you prefer,” assures the Dutch brand.

However, perhaps the best news is, that the price of the RYOT stays the same across all sizes (33, 44, 55 and 77mm) at $1,599.00.
