Fizik Announces All-New LYRA Road Shoe

Fizik has announced the launch of its all-new LYRA road shoe, claiming “optimal performance with lasting comfort” thanks to a new ergonomic shape and a rounder toe box that results in a more natural, supportive fit, while the redesigned mesh upper serves to boost ventilation.

A NATURAL, NEW SHAPE

Over the past few years, bike geometry and riding positions have changed, leading to the closer analysis of the contact points between the rider and his or her bike. Fizik has responded to this shift with an updated anatomical shape, allowing riders to more easily achieve modern riding positions in comfort.

As mentioned, a wider, rounder forefoot and a lower-drop profile gives the LYRA a more natural feel under load, leaving room for riders who prefer a slightly rearward cleat position, a setup increasingly favored for improved pedaling stability and efficiency on longer efforts.

Brand Manager, Alex Locatelli, said; “With the LYRA, we wanted to create a road shoe that truly reflects how modern riders pedal today. By rethinking the anatomical shape and expanding the toe box, we focused on delivering a more natural fit that enhances both comfort and efficiency on the bike. Lyra brings key elements from our top-tier models into a versatile, everyday performance shoe designed for long rides, fast training, and racing alike.”

RESPONSIVE, EFFICIENT PEDALING

Built with efficiency in mind, the Fizik’s R4 fiber composite outsole delivers high stiffness for responsive pedaling, while strategically placed vents in the upper improve airflow keep the rider’s feet cool, promoting more efficient power transfer.

ALL DAY FIT

The LYRA also features a Dual-Dial Li2 BOA Fit System, offering independent adjustment at the instep and midfoot for a fully personalized fit. Also, the soft, breathable upper mesh area of the shoe enhances airflow across the foot, while strategically placed PU-laminated zones around the closure system and medial area provide added structure and support, ensuring a secure, stable feeling for all-day comfort and performance on long road rides.

Tipping the scales at an impressive 259 grams, the new LYRA sells for $249.99, with sizes that range from 36 to 48 and half sizes in 37 to 47, along with color choices in Coal-Black, Black & White, White & Lavender and Mint Green.
