Fizik Goes “Raw” with Limited Edition “Arche-Type” Helmet Collection

Instead of the usual smothering of bold colors and flashy graphics, Fizik has decided to go “raw” with its latest “Arche-Type” helmets, stripping the collection down to the barest of finishes, exposing nothing more than the underlying EPS core.

“Introducing Arche-Type, a new limited-edition look available for each model in the fizik Helmet Collection. Designed with a translucent PC shell that reveals the underlying EPS core, Arche-Type helmets combine a dark gray colorway with contrasting matte and glossy finishes. Outlined fizik logos add subtle styling, along with technical text that highlights the functions of different parts of each helmet. As the Arche-Type name suggests, these unique helmets serve as a representative model—a moment in the process—from which our complete helmet range was developed. Like a freeze-frame in the design and development phase, picture Arche-Type as a prototype that has reached its final form,” says Fizik.

Indeed, spanning the Kudo, Kudo Aero, Kunee and Kassis models, the only embellishment is the Italian brand’s logo along with some tech inscription.

However, in this case, less is more in terms of price, as each helmet fetches an additional £9 on the European market.
