Lazer and Cardo Systems Team Up on VeloVox Helmet Strap Audio System

Lazer and Cardo Systems have teamed up to create the new VeloVox helmet strap audio system, allowing recreational riders to communicate with up to 30 other participants during group rides and mass events.

Weighing just 19 gram per side, the VeloVox system utilizes clip on open-air loudspeakers that sit outside the rider’s ear via the straps of the helmet. The left speaker is designed to provide open communication between riders, while the right can be used for music playback or phone call control, relying on a simple to-button interface.

“VeloVox is all about enhancing the ride experience, connecting cyclists without distractions and delivering sound where and when it matters,” says Peter Duynslaeger, Lazer General Manage. “Whether it’s for team strategy, safety, or sharing the joy of the ride, this is a tool that adapts to how real riders ride,” he adds.

Additionally, the VeloVox can pair with Shimano Di2 groupsets or the brand’s Steps e-bike systems, allowing riders to keep their hands on the bars and eyes on the road, while still operating the system.

So far, there’s no word on pricing, but when the VeloVox system is released, it will be available through Lazer’s website.
