For enthusiasts who are looking to put the pedal to the metal when it comes to endurance riding, Mason has launched its newest metal (aluminum that is) endurance bike dubbed the Definition Integrale, which capitalizes on everything the British brand learned from its original Definition series, albeit with full integration now.
“The launch of the new Definition Integrale brings focus to the fast endurance road capabilities of this model, without losing sight of the hallmark MASON practicality and all-season capability. While the Definition Integrale offers a shift towards performance, core MASON principles remain, manifested through features like clearance for 35mm tires, proper eyelets fork dynamo routing, and clearance to run full mudguards with 32 mm tires. Optimized for integrated routing and electronic groupsets, this is an approach that has already transformed the titanium MASON Aspect. Now it’s time for aluminum to offer this streamlined, focussed Integrale option, alongside our Definition3 – established as a modern classic,” says Dom Mason, founder of his namesake brand.
In addition to using the same custom-formed Dedacciai tubeset and DedaAR fork, Mason sought to give the new Definition Integrale a slightly sportier handling characteristic by tweaking the geometry a bit, treating it to a lower crown and stack height compared its current Definition3 counterpart.
“Across eight sizes, angles change progressively to keep handling confident, direct and comfortable for riders of all heights and builds. For the 3 smaller sizes, the rear center is shortened and seat and head angles altered to ensure smaller riders enjoy the sporty handling without feeling compromised in comfort, fit and confident ride feel,” explains Mason.
The Definition Integrale frameset sells for £1,550, with complete builds that span Shimano Di2 and SRAM AXS groupsets starting at £3,700.
Additionally, Mason is offering a special Launch Edition that’s limited to just 25 frames, which features a brushed brass head badge in two exclusive colorways – ProcessWhite and PrismGreen.
