MyWhoosh has announced the launch of its 5.7 update, improving engagement and connectivity across its growing multi-sport ecosystem.
“This release represents a significant evolution for the platform, providing a more engaging and integrated training experience for cyclists, runners, and rowers alike,” says MyWhoosh.
A central feature of the 5.7 update is the introduction of Streaks, a new consistency tool designed to improve engagement by rewarding users who remain active across all disciplines. By building a daily habit, athletes can unlock exclusive badges and milestone recognition, a move intended to celebrate progress within the MyWhoosh community.
This update also signals the continued development of the MyWhoosh multi-sport ecosystem by significantly expanding rowing functionality. Building on the initial launch of Rowing Mode, version 5.7 introduces structured rowing workouts, including intervals and intensity targets, alongside live rowing events. These competitive formats feature real-time strokes-per-minute (SPM) tracking and updated leaderboards, offering rowers the same immersive and data-driven experience previously reserved for cycling and running.
Additionally, to ensure the platform fits naturally into an athlete’s existing workflow, MyWhoosh has introduced improved user control and usability through several high-profile integrations. Users can now sync outdoor Strava activities directly into their MyWhoosh calendar to maintain a complete training picture, while a new TrainerDay integration allows users to sync scheduled workouts and completed sessions to MyWhoosh. Furthermore, the addition of BikeControl app integration allows compatible Bluetooth controllers to manage in-game functions like shifting and cornering, making the riding experience more responsive and tactile. Users will also gain more control over their ride feel via a new Virtual Shifting Gear Step Size slider.
“Version 5.7 is a significant update for MyWhoosh because it improves the platform in multiple areas at once,” said Matt Smithson, Director of Esports & Game Operations at MyWhoosh.
“We are adding stronger engagement features, better integrations, and a more serious offering for rowing users. This release is about improving the quality of the experience across the board with usability changes and improved connectivity that matter to everyday users”.
Lastly, MyWhoosh has closely listened to user feedback and has worked hard to bring new firmware updates to the platform. The 5.7 update provides refined hardware management controls, allowing users to clear saved devices, such as indoor trainers, or toggle auto-connect settings to resolve pairing issues. These enhancements, coupled with a suite of stability improvements and bug fixes, ensure that MyWhoosh remains the premier destination for athletes seeking a professional-grade, immersive, and free-to-use virtual training environment.
