Officine Mattio Debuts New BISALTA Gravel Bike

Officine Mattio is debuting its latest gravel bike dubbed the BISALTA, a moniker that extols the mountainous region of Cuneo, offering what the bespoke Italian brand says “blends road-level performance with the confident control on all types of terrain, turning every ride into an experience, where every line of the frame has been engineered to ensure stability and responsiveness across mixed surfaces. The carbon fiber construction and balanced geometry deliver a smooth, precise ride—ideal for those seeking high performance without sacrificing the pleasure of pedaling.”

Made in Italy

Like all Officine Mattio bikes, the BISALTA is entirely designed and manufactured in Italy, while each frame is hand-painted in the OM workshop in Piedmont and assembled at the company headquarters in Cuneo, using curated components chosen directly by the customer.

Technical Features

The BISALTA’s frame is made from Torayca T1000 carbon fiber, ensuring high performance with exceptional stiffness, lightness and durability, tipping the scales at an impressive 950 grams in size M, while the OM Gravel fork weighs in at 600 grams.

Elsewhere, the BISALTA is treated to fully integrated cable routing for a clean aesthetic and optimal aerodynamics, along with enough clearance to accommodate tires up to a hefty 50mm.

Setups and Customization

The BISALTA is available in several customizable builds, with a wide selection of groupsets, wheels and components, while the handcrafted paintwork offers endless combinations of colors and finishes via the Officine Mattio configurator, making each model truly unique with pricing starting at €6,990.00.

Officine Mattio CEO Giovanni Monge Roffarello comments: “With BISALTA, we want to offer a new way of experiencing gravel: a bike that brings together our artisanal tradition and the most advanced technology. Naming it after the mountain that overlooks Cuneo is yet another tribute to our beautiful territory and reaffirms our desire to showcase our region to the world. It is a product born from our land but designed to go far, created for those who seek freedom and uncompromising performance.”
