Officine Mattio has targeted the endurance segment with the launch of its new GRANDFONDO, an ambitious project that blends Italian craftsmanship with cutting-edge innovation, resulting in a one-bike solution that promises comfort, elegance and performance – all-at-once.
“With the GRANFONDO, Officine Mattio aims to reaffirm its belief that a bike doesn’t need to be extremely stiff and reactive to be truly high-performing. Every cyclist has unique needs and riding styles, and the GRANFONDO has been designed to enhance the performance of granfondo riders — enthusiasts who spend many hours in the saddle and seek a perfect balance between comfort and performance. The new GRANFONDO will be available in two standard geometry options: one with a racing-inspired setup, derived from OM’s most performance-oriented models, and another featuring a more relaxed geometry, ideal for long-distance and touring-oriented riders,” boasts the Italian brand.
Like all Officine Mattio models, the new GRANFONDO frame is entirely designed and developed in Italy, featuring “next-generation carbon construction” that relies on TORAYCA T1000 carbon to deliver both lightweight and torsional stiffness, along with fully internal cable routing for clean aesthetics and maximum aerodynamic efficiency, along with enough clearance to accommodate tires up to 40mm at the front and 36mm in the rear.
All in, Officine Matteo says the new GRANDFONDO tips the scales at impressive 875 grams in a size medium, with models available in several configurations starting at €6,990.00. Moreover, customers can further customize the color and components on their bikes via the Officine Mattio configurator.
