Orbea Puts the Pedal to the Metal with New Aluminum Avant Endurance Bike

Orbea has put the pedal to the metal with the launch of its latest aluminum Avant endurance bike, treating it to a new frame silhouette, revised geometry and an all-new “Service Box” that’s located underneath the downtube for stashing essentials.

Elsewhere, the Avant gets Orbea’s OMR carbon fork and a forged bottom bracket that allows for cable routing inside the frame, as well as provisions for electronic shifting, though the models come equipped with only mechanical groupsets.

Additionally, tire clearance has also been increased, with enough room to accommodate rubber up to 35mm.

The Avant is available in seven sizes that range from 47 to 60, along with a number of builds that span Shimano Clairs to 105, with prices starting at $1,699.
