Known for its minimalist designs and subtle branding, Ornot has decided to break all the rules with the launch of its loudest to date Billboard Jersey and Billboard Cotton Tee.
Covered in distorted logos, metal fonts and what the San Francisco based company calls “deliberate chaos”, the garments are both a nod to vintage band tees and a tongue-in-cheek critique of logo-saturated cycling kits.
As a twist, Ornot is offering a $15 “marketing credit” to anyone willing to wear the jersey — a rare exception for a brand that’s spent over a decade avoiding walking advertisements.
“This is the opposite of everything we’ve ever done—and that’s the point. Meet the Billboard Jersey. It’s the jersey that wants to be noticed. The Billboard Jersey is a limited series from our Park Jersey collection made from ultra-soft recycled fabric that packs a UPF-30 rating, all without the environmental impact of using net-new materials,” says Ornot.
The Billboard tee sells for $65.00, while the Park Jersey fetches $178.00.
Oh, and there’s also a complimentary water bottle that’s available for $18.00.
