Aimed squarely at gravel cycling and off-road pursuits, Quoc has unveiled its latest collection of cycling shoes called the Lalashan, comprising the Gran Tourer XC and the Escape Off-Road models.
According to Quoc, the Lalashan moniker is a nod to northern Taiwan’s Lalashan mountains, a region known for its wild mushroom population.
Fungi aside, the Gran Tourer XC features a stiff carbon composite outsole that’s treated to a robust TPU coating, along with a heavy duty tread that comes with a series of replaceable toe spikes, while an abrasion resistant microfiber upper with rubber toe caps for protection round-out the model.
Dubbed the Escape Off-Road, the new shoe gets a glass-fiber reinforced nylon outsole for optimal stiffness, as well a PU upper with a reinforced toe cap guard. The shoe is also fitted with a single-dial closure system and optional spikes, making it a viable choice for cyclocross.
Weighing in at 311 grams per shoe (size 43) the Escape Off-Road sells for $200, which is available in Sand, Amber, or classic all Black, with sizes ranging from 38-47.
The 262 gram Escape Road is also priced at $200, offering the same range of sizes, but in White, Amber, or Black.
