This year’s Milano-Sanremo was one to remember, and now you can re-live the thrilling finale with third-place finisher, Wout van Aert, live on ROUVY. Join van Aert at 17h CET on Monday April 20th on the real routes cycling platform ROUVY to ride the final 30km of MSR alongside an Instagram live stream.
Cycling fans worldwide are in for a treat with this unique opportunity to gain first-hand insights into how van Aert raced to his fourth career podium in Sanremo. This latest result came under difficult circumstances, with the Team Visma | Lease a Bike star having to fight back from a crash 32km from the finish, which nearly saw his race over before even reaching the infamous Poggio climb.
Van Aert’s latest Group Ride on ROUVY follows two other hugely popular ROUVY Group Rides, the first of which saw over 6,500 riders register to join. This route takes in the Poggio and Cipressa climbs, before the hair-raising descent that takes you to the final flat kilometres to the line in Sanremo.
Van Aert commented ahead of the Group Ride: “I’ve created a real connection with ROUVY’s community over the past year now, and so to be able to share this insight into Milano Sanremo and its renowned finale. Given how eventful this year’s race was, it should be a unique experience to talk through with everyone who joins us.”
The ride, hosted on ROUVY, allows participants to connect with van Aert from the comfort of their homes while experiencing the thrill of riding the race route, which was recorded on race day itself. The event will be hosted, in person, by cycling personality and ROUVY ambassador Manon Lloyd. She will join van Aert for the ride and host the event’s livestream on ROUVY’s Instagram, providing those joining with the opportunity to ask van Aert questions during the ride itself.
